KWGA PLAYDAY GUIDELINES

Welcome to the 2024 KWGA Golf Season!  As we begin the new season, please remember these guidelines for each Playday. If you are a new member, welcome and please ask questions of any member!

18-Hole League: Pro Shop outside tent,   8:00-8:40am.

Note: There is a two-stroke penalty for a player that arrives after check-in.  Please be on time! Apply the two strokes to the hole you start on and indicate on your scorecard that the penalty was applied.

Note:  On days of the 8:30am General Meeting (one each Quarter) play will start 15 minutes after the end of the meeting. Check-in for 9-Hole League is 8:00-8:20am and for 18-Hole League is 7:40-8:20am.

How to Sign-up or Cancel on Playdays:

The online sign up is through the Golf Genius app or Golfgenius.com (to sign-in use the GGID for your group: KWGA18 or KWGA9).  In addition, two weeks prior to each Playday, you will receive an email invitation to play.  Just click “playing” and you will receive an online confirmation and email.  The sign-up is closed on Sunday at noon for Tuesday’s game.  So….look at the weather, check your calendar, and sign up or cancel by Sunday noon!

When online sign-ups are closed at Sunday Noon, you will not be able to add/cancel online -

On Playdays:

When you arrive, you may drop your bag at the Bag Drop and the staff will take your bag to your cart staged at the Island practice green.  The Playday tee sheet and the 50 cent pots will be at the designated check-in spots. Bring your pot money and join in the fun!  Please check yourself off the tee sheet, confirm your starting tee box and take an extra scorecard. If there are late cancellations, players may be moved around to even out the field. Please be flexible!

  • Please be at your starting hole on time.  Do not start early!  Play at a good Pace of Play.  It is a group’s responsibility to keep up with the group in front.

  • After play, confirm your scorecard matches Golf Genius e-scores and return your signed scorecard to the Ladies Locker Room.

Weather Cancellations prior to play: We will play unless the course is closed.  If you do not want to play given the perceived conditions, follow the cancellation procedure. If it is likely a Playday will be cancelled prior to play, KWGA email announcements may be sent on the morning of play. However, if you find no other notice that play is cancelled, you should assume the Playday is not cancelled and follow normal procedures.

Withdrawals during play:  If you withdraw (W/D), your score will not count toward course credit, Ringers, any Year-End Awards or playday winnings. Leave the scorecard blank for that hole and all remaining holes, mark your scorecard W/D and turn it in. If you choose to stay out on the course and play after withdrawing, no scores are recorded and you should pick up at your max.
